About Dr. Buncke: Since 1970 The Buncke Clinic has been at the forefront of the advancement of reconstructive microsurgery. Founded by Dr. Harry Buncke, known as the Father of Modern Microsurgery, the Buncke clinic is a leading center for microsurgery, plastic and reconstructive and hand surgery. Today, his son Dr. Gregory M. Buncke serves as Director of the Clinic and Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery at University of California at Davies (California Pacific Medical Center) in San Francisco.  Dr. Buncke and his team maintain the outstanding tradition of providing complex reconstructive plastic and microsurgical treatment options for hand (double toe to thumb), breast and lymphedema, replantation, transgender and trauma and train tomorrow's leaders in their competitive fellowship. Come hear about the foundations of the modern microsurgery rooted in tradition from Dr. Buncke Sr and Jr and the newest in innovations. Dr. Greg Buncke attended medical school at Georgetown, completed plastic surgery residency at Stanford University Medical Center and hand and microsurgery fellowship at The Buncke Clinic. He serves as Director of the Clinic and Chairman of the Department.
